This resplendent gem crystal is a superb example of the world-class zoisites found at legendary Merelani Hills in Tanzania. 14 grams of gem-quality, water-clear, yellow crystal, this "yellow tanzanite" has outstanding luster and form to complement both its color and clarity. This yellow crystal also has a faint blue tint that can be seen at just the right angle. Almost without realizing it, this celestial trace of blue imparts the faintest hint of a ghostly green to the yellow zoisite, giving the crystal character within character. An excellent example for this rare style of tanzanite - and it is, chemically, tanzanite. Yellow and green hues in tanzanite are caused by minuscule amounts of included elements that change the color, but this is indeed as much a tanzanite as any blue crystal - and different from zoisite from anywhere else in the world. From a small find of 2025, this is among the best of its coloration we have seen in over a decade. 14 grams.
