A GORGEOUS, oblong "ball" of creedite covered with gemmy, burnt-orange crystals of saturated and pretty coloration. The population of larger crystals are about 1 cm in size, and they are gemmy enough that it is easy to tell how the more vivid coloration is actually in the form of distinct phantoms for subtle small scale and large scale aesthetics, both. Historically, good creedites were rare and expensive from ANY locality, until these orange ones were found in Mexico circa 2008 or so. Suddenly, you could own a really fine creedite without selling your house to get it, but this production proved sporadic and is now finished. Supposedly the mine itself is completely inaccessible, but in any case no more were found for years despite looking. This is a beautiful and aesthetic specimen with only very few broken crystals amidst hundreds. This is your proverbial chance! One of the best in size class, nearly complete all around as it sits; and this was in the personal collection of Jason New. Jason is the son of the late Mike New, who was the importer for this discovery and controlled nearly all of them at the time. He high-graded a few such as this for style and color at the time, and later sold them to us.
