Outstanding octahedral fluorite crystal well balanced on matrix, from the recent, and by now quite well-known, discoveries at the Milpo Mine in Peru. Forest-green and GEMMY, the main crystal is 2 cm on edge. Each corner has one flat and lustrous cubic modification, the edges have a narrow, sharp bevel, and these both contrast very aesthetically with the textured, satiny luster of the main crystal faces. The small pyrite crystals add a good and classic association for the locality, and the fluorite fluoresces a rich blue-purple. This is one of the nicest, single small miniatures I have seen from here.
