Pyromorphite
Unknown Owner
An attractive cluster of lustrous yellowish green pyromorphite crystals with minimal attached matrix. The crystals show good form and bright surface luster typical of material from this classic Spanish locality. Some damage is present, as noted, but the specimen still displays well and retains strong visual appeal. The Horcajo Mines are part of a historic lead mining district known for producing fine pyromorphite from the oxidized zones of lead rich hydrothermal veins, and specimens from this locality are highly regarded among collectors for their color and quality.
