An attractive specimen featuring lustrous, mostly gemmy mimetite crystals to 0.5 cm gracefully set across the top of the matrix. The crystals display bright luster and fine transparency, with sharp definition and pleasing color typical of this highly collectible Tsumeb species. Preserved in good condition, the piece comes with a previous collection label, as shown at the end of the video, adding provenance and collector interest. The Tsumeb Mine, active from the late 19th century until 1996, is one of the world's most celebrated mineral localities, famed for its extraordinary diversity and the exceptional quality of its copper, lead, and arsenate minerals. Mimetite from Tsumeb has long been prized for its rich color and crystal form, making this a classic and desirable example from this legendary Namibian deposit.
