“Faden” halite and sylvite (modified crystals), 8.3 cm, from the Kerr McGee mine, Carlsbad Potash District, Eddy County, New Mexico; collected with Javier Valenzuela and Mike Younger. This was a small, one-time find that produced stalactitic groups with faden-like growth. Private collection; Philip Simmons and Erin Delventhal photo.
