Calcite
Calcite, 21 cm, from the Cumberland mine, Carthage, Tennessee. While working a pocket with Mark Kielbaso, I broke through a false wall in the back which led to another pocket about 4 feet by 6 feet but only 1 foot high. This specimen was the only thing in it, and I couldn’t quite reach it. Mark pushed my feet so I could squeeze in just a bit further to get my hands on the piece. Photo by Stan Esbenshade.
