Once well-known for fine crystallized Zeolite specimens collecting has long been restricted on the island and now the only Icelandic specimens we really see are from collections which date back to the pre-1970s. This fine cabinet-sized display specimen of Stilbite-Ca comes from Martin Kershaw's Collection, and although its provenance is recorded simply as "Iceland" it is likely from the eastern part of the island. It is in great condition and is well covered in classic flattened bladed crystals, some reaching 2 cm in length, with a pale cream colour and lovely pearlescent lustre.
