Gold nugget
This is a unique style of gold nugget that is often simply called a "pancake" by miners because it is so flattened that it looks like somebody took molten gold and poured it on a griddle to spread out and cool. This is good for the specimen collector as it gives us the most apparent surface area from frontal view, relative to weight. In other words, on display, it looks bigger and heavier than it is! From an old collection, thought to have been found in 2005-2015. 36.6 grams.
