A nugget of solid California gold with a very robust and attractive "melt" shape so that you get a lot of surface area for the weight/price. It is an interesting shape that makes it both good as a specimen, but also mountable for jewelry as a pendant or the like. It is from the Mother Lode district, although we cannot say which location there. It is simply priced as a relative bargain for a gold nugget these days. It came from an old collection and was obtained by previous owner more than a decade ago. 46.8 grams.
