Tucson, Arizona, USAFor such a mineralogically diverse locality it is actually quite rare to find Linarite or Caledonite at Tsumeb mine. Specimens such as this remarkably large (small cabinet sized) are generally very old ones, and this one is specifically recorded as from the 1st Oxidation Zone which was worked pre-1920s. Upon it a matrix of massive pale green Brochantite and white (probable Anglesite) contains many cavities lined with prominent small royal blue bladed Linarite crystals with more discrete turquoise-blue Caledonite intermixed. This is rare material indeed nowadays, and a real collectors piece.
