With all of its magnificently diverse species, some extremeley rare, the quality of Calcite from the famous Tsumeb mine is often forgotten. This very large miniature specimen, which comes from the generations-old Weyand Collection in Tsumeb town, presents a lovely crystallized form - like stacked towers, crystallized stalactites, mushrooms, or nail-heads. For a smaller Calcite it is quite a characterful piece and its Tsumeb pedigree adds considerably to its desirability.
