This really well balanced miniature specimen presents the iconic association of Calcite with Duftite from the world-famous Tsumeb mine in Namibia. With these associations sometimes the Duftite occurs as inclusions within Calcite crystals, or as coatings upon the surface of the Calcite, but in this instance the main rhombic Calcite crystal is colourless with clear fresh surfaces, with green Duftite carpeting the matrix all around. It makes for a really aesthetic combination with rarity of Duftite as a species further enhancing its quality. The front of the main Calcite crystal is in great condition, but there looks to be a little damage around to the back edge. Nevertheless, it looks very nice as a small display piece of this Tsumeb classic. Ex Weyand Collection.
