This small cabinet-sized rich, dense, crystallized specimen of Native Copper comes from Central mine, one of the classic copper mines in Keweenaw Co., Michigan, USA. Unusually, the Native Copper displays bladed casts after some unknown mineral which has long since been weathered away. Other surfaces present the classic sharp, hackly metallic copper form and the whole specimen has a rich copper-orange colour and great metallic lustre. Ex David Hardman Collection.
