A gorgeous, glassy, completely transparent, nearly five inch, gem crystal of quartz with a few sidecar crystal to complete the tremendous aesthetics of this piece. This is an older piece from Mount Ida and is just spectacular featuring the large, dominant quartz crystal that is completely limpid throughout with a perfect termination. It is complemented by three long, slender, sidecar crystals. Two of the crystals have a more typical pyramidal terminations and the other crystal is more flat in appearance and has a chisel-like termination. Two of the crystals, including the flatter one, are in parallel growth with the big crystal and the other transects at an angle. It is not "just" another Arkansas quartz. This one is really special, with a great composition and dramatic presence for display! From the collection of local mine owner, James Zigras.
