Cassiterite
For those collectors interested in old collection labels and unusual West Country location 'tins' this would make a wonderful addition. It is clearly not the most well-crystallized Cornish Cassterite that you will come across, but it comes from the famous collection of Col. Sir William Serjeant (1857-1930) who lived at St. Benet's Abbey, Lanivet, and bears his famous blue-rimmed handwritten label. This interesting piece is from "Scorrier" but has been interpreted later as from Wheal Peevor nearby. Ex Bruce Grant Collection, no. 1970.
