Tall and very dramatic is this branching dendritic Native Copper from Great Wheal Prosper in Cornwall. Reaching over 8 cm tall from where it rises up from its iron oxide-rich matrix, to over 10 cm wide, this is a very showy 'statement' piece. The Native Copper is infused with reddish Cuprite (copper oxide) and has a striking white coating in patches, which also extends over the whole front face of the matrix. This is a layer of silky acicular Aragonite or something similar. Ex Martin Kershaw Collection.
