A jewel of an aquamarine crystal, 105 grams of translucent glasslike clarity, from important finds in the early 1990s. In a deal with Steve, I obtained this aquamarine that had been lurking in his single gem crystals suite since the day he bought it down in Brazil; and I had always lusted after this piece in his collection. It is just mesmerizing in the drawn-out shape that is unusually elongated on one horizontal axis, razor sharp, and of impeccable quality - as is generally everything in Steve's collection. No restoration or repairs. Just pristine gem beauty! Like many Medina aquamarines, the color is slightly, ever so slightly, a seafoam blue compared to the more steel-blue hue of Pakistani material.
