Luqman Durrani
My name is Luqman Durrani, and I come from Peshawar, Pakistan a city that sits at the crossroads of ancient trade routes, where merchants have carried gemstones, spices, and stories across mountains for centuries. Growing up here, I was surrounded by history in a way that's hard to put into words. The Khyber Pass isn't far from where I live, and just beyond it lies Afghanistan home to some of the oldest and most treasured gemstone mines on Earth, including the legendary Lapis Lazuli deposits of Badakhshan that have been worked for over 6,000 years.
I didn't set out to sell crystals. I fell in love with them.
There's something humbling about holding a stone that was formed inside the earth long before any of us existed shaped by pressure, time, and forces far greater than ourselves. Every piece I source carries a kind of quiet history: it was there before empires rose and fell, before roads were built, before any of our stories began. That's where the name Crystals Before Time comes from a reminder that these stones have always been here, patiently waiting to be found, to be held, to mean something to someone.
I travel to source each specimen personally when I can, working directly with local miners and trusted suppliers near the region, because I want every piece I sell to carry integrity not just in quality, but in origin. I don't see myself as just a seller. I see myself as someone passing along a small piece of the earth's memory into your hands, hoping it brings you the same sense of wonder it brought me the day I first held it.
Every order that leaves Peshawar is packed with care, because I know it's not just a stone traveling across the world it's a piece of a story, becoming part of yours.
Thank you for letting me be part of your journey.
