Set Up Your Profile
A complete guide to setting up your collection for sale on EarthWonders
Step 1: Create your account by signing up for EarthWonders
- Ensure your profile is up to date and that your seller policies are complete
- Write a brief bio about your selling expertise in the 'about' section
- A polished introduction builds trust
- Verify your email address
Step 2: Create your first Specimen
- Go to your Collection Manager → New Specimen tab
- Upload 1–10 quality photos. Include a video if you can — showing it in your hand helps scale and realism
- Add clear, accurate info in the details section: species, origin, dimensions, weight, and any damage or repairs
- Title it clearly (e.g., 'Twinned Calcite on Matrix')
- Write a compelling, honest description (more on that below)
Step 3: Provenances
- You can choose to show yourself and previous owners of a specimen
- You can set the date that you acquired the specimen and the price that you paid at the time
- You can choose to mark this information as private or public
- EarthWonders encourages sharing this information with the public, as it shows authenticity and builds a transparent reputation for sellers
Step 4: Set your listing details
- Set the specimen as 'for sale'
- Set the price
- SKU (user reference - this is optional)
- What's included with the specimen
- Delivery fees or free shipping
- Shipping origin
Step 5: Click update and sell!
- Once your specimen is up, buyers can discover it
- When someone makes a purchase, you have 3 business days to confirm the order and 7 days to ship it
Alternative Method
NB - You can also create a specimen for sale by selecting "listings" from the top right drop-down and uploading your specimen and information using the "create listing" tab.
Promote Your Collection and Listings on EarthWonders
Mention EarthWonders in your content. When talking about your minerals, highlight the EarthWonders community and editor content. If you're selling it, we're deep-diving into it!
Use the EarthWonders hashtag on your social media platforms.
Reshare our content when we promote your collection. If you see a friend's collection being promoted, reshare it for them (they will likely do the same in return for you).
