A sparkling, complex cluster of intergrown quartz crystals showing the typical habits of "herkimer style" quartz, such that the crystals look almost faceted, and form these amazing daisy chains that seem so unlikely to survive (and often, they do not). They come out of hard rock limestone in upstate New York. While I do not see glue here, one should assume that all such clusters are repaired, as a matter of expectation.
