A very attractive, single large fluorite cube sits aesthetically on a three-dimensional matrix covered in sparkling drusy quartz. The translucent, rich purple cube measures 4.5 cm on its longest edge and displays an apparition-like, cubic phantom at the interior and distinct, but subtle zoning outwardly to the edge of the crystal. The interior phantom is semi transparent and measures just over 2 cm and is grounded in the matrix as one can see inside the crystal. It displays a slightly darker rim and then zoning proceeds outward in thin medium purple, almost paper-thin layers within the lighter purple outer area right up to the outer edge of the fluorite crystal. The big crystal has some subtle, geometric growth features on the faces and is in excellent condition with the exception of a couple of slightly compromised corners. There is a small, markedly transparent, light purple, 1 cm fluorite sidecar crystal at the base of the large fluorite and it too shows distinct zoning. Both fluorites are perched strikingly on the coarse, drusy quartz with stout crystals averaging 5 mm in length that form an apparent boxwork possibly as a cast after calcite. The entire piece has great composition and aesthetics. Likely from 1980s finds.
