Twinned cerussites are the most eye-catching and sought-after habits for this signature species of Tsumeb. This small miniature is composed of prismatic and relatively thick, satiny crystals that exhibit the beginnings of reticulated twinning. Had growth continued, the cluster could have developed the classic boxwork structure and famous snowflake habit. As it is, the branches of the twins are sharp, with half the crystals gemmy enough to read through. The clarity and well-defined form, both in individual crystals and the overall twinning, create a beautiful aesthetic that exemplifies this highly desirable species. Dr. Erika Pohl-Ströher - 27606
