Elbaite Tourmaline (Scepter)
A very attractive and strange elbaite tourmaline crystal with a solid cap (termination) atop a seemingly etched body. This is an almost reverse scepter, in some sense, just a striking contrast of shape and form when we expect to see a continuous termination. What would make the body of the crystal do this, but leave the cap intact - it seems hard to imagine! A beautiful tourmaline that is from 1990s finds here. Laszlo Kupi photo. Approx 15 grams.
