A superb floater example of the rare anatase crystals from Brazil! Note how very different in style these are from the more famous examples from Norway, with long tapering form and sharp tips. These crystals, at their best as you see here, have flat basal terminations and look nothing like anatase from most locations. This crystal is big, and sharp all around. It has a metallic luster in person that is hard to convey in photos. Alex has a catalog note that says, From: Dave Bunk (Dave Bunk Minerals, Denver, Colorado), from the Melanson thumbnail collection label (#4742). Melanson notes this was found in 2007 - and he was an extensive traveler down there at the time, and bought in Brazil.
