This Fluorite specimen from Mulda, Mittelsachsen, Saxony, Germany is a real oddity - perfect for the Fluorite collector who likes things a little out of the ordinary. Upon it, a finely crystallized Quartz matrix is disrupted by two main flat, circular, disc-like areas of radial Fluorite which shows colour-zoning as purple and cream concentric bands of varying intensity in colour. It comes from Arvid Pasto's comprehensive Fluorite collection but the locality is very obscure and not renowned for any minerals at all.
