Classic pinkish pale brown Pyromorphite from arguably the world's most famous region for this unusual colour - Bad Ems District, Lahn valley, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. At large miniature in size this is a very rich Bad Ems Pyromorphite and is specifically from Braubach. The very glossy prismatic crystals form a coating upon a white matrix, with some crystals lying flat but many freestanding and upright, displaying uneven prism sides and very slightly hoppered pinacoid terminations, but all in great condition and reaching over 5 mm in length. This is a very fine German Pyromorphite for the price, reflecting that it is not a solid dense crystal aggregate, but an encrusting growth of crystals. Ex Kessler Collection.
