Large amber-brown to amber-olive coloured Fluorite crystals aggregated in a fine display plate/bed with distinctive preferential overgrowth from orange-red iron oxide-included Quartz crystals of the variety known as Eisenkiesel is a classic from Heißer Stein mine in the Wölsendorf Fluorite Mining District, Upper Palatinate, Bavaria, Germany. What is unusual in this specimen is that the Quartz overgrowth extends in an almost exaggerated fashion beyond the edges of the Fluorite underneath. One of the main Fluorite crystals has a corner cleaved, but this remains a wonderful Wölsendorf classic and a fine paragenetic piece too of a great size for display or handling.
