When these amazing Kesterite crystals with partial alteration to Mushistonite first hit the mineral market they were the talk of the town. Never had Kesterite been seen in anything remotely resembling a well-defined crystal, and these from Mount Xuebaoding are phenomenal. That was during the early 2000s and all things come to an end. No new specimens have been seen for a long time and those original specimens are now so desirable as the 'best of species'. This smaller miniature specimen features a perfect individual octahedral Kesterite crystal reaching 1.5 cm across. Its shape is magnificent and it is well positioned for viewing, showing a yellow to orange-brown colour due to surface alteration to Mushistonite and with minor green Malachite as overgrowth on one edge. Now considered as classic, this is a ready super smaller specimen but featuring a very displayable Kesterite crystal.
