A fine, sharp example of the rare gem species, montebrasite, not so well known with luster and gemminess among collectors today. The world's best of these were only found a few times, decades apart, in small finds in Brazil. This is a pristine, choice miniature from one of those older finds, likely the 1980s, and displays well either as shown with the long face horizontally atop; or oriented with the curved contacted side down flat and the point up. Rare material today, and a fine miniature sized example of this species.
