Not only is this a rich specimen of the rare lead copper arsenate sulphate hydroxide species Arsentsumebite from the Type Locality, but it is specifically recorded as from the 1st Oxidation Zone at Tsumeb mine and has also been recorded as analysed by Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX). The matrix of this piece is white crystallized Cerussite which in places is coated in green finely crystallized Arsentsumebite and in others it is veined by Arsentsumebite cutting through it. A rich example of this classic Tsumeb rarity with additionally fine provenance. Ex Hettrich Collection.
