Chrysoberyl$200.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
We are so familiar with sixling twinned Chrysoberyl that when we see an untwinned crystal it can look a little confusing. This thumbnail Chrysoberyl from the famous Teófilo Otoni area in Minas Gerais state, Brazil is exactly that, and looks in some respects like a bladed Forsterite crystal. 2.1 cm in length, it is glassy and transparent with a rich yellow-green colour. Gentle vertical striations up the length of the crystal appear to indicate that this is a single bladed crystal rather than a twin, where these growth lines would be expected to diverge.
