This 4.5 cm tall individual matrixless prismatic Elbaite crystal from the Coronel Murta area in Jequitinhonha Valley, Minas Gerais state, Brazil is not only a lovely colour, but has a really unusual somewhat 'castellated' termination and a slight 'kink' halfway up the crystal where it appears to have been naturally broken and rehealed. Colourwise, it is dominated lowerdown by sherry coloured creamy orange-pink shades progressing upwards through pale grey and into an intense candyfloss pink upper 1.5 cm. This pink tip is also extremely glassy, and gemmy, which really grabs ones attention. Several small clustered 'books' of pale pinkish-grey Lepidolite mica sit on the surface of the Elbaite crystal in its lowermost two-thirds, leaving its wonderful pink termination glistening. A highly distinct, and pretty Coronel Murta Elbaite.
