A beautiful, old-time, and extremely historic Kongsberg silver. This octahedral (!!!) crystalized silver specimen from Norway was in the collection of the Royal Academy of Mineralogy in Freiberg, Germany – then to Carl Bosch collection and subsequently into Smithsonian collection – then to Joe Cilen – and eventually the Spanns. A specimen with incredible historical lineage that gets better the more you look at it. A fantastic piece with dozens of rare octahedral silver crystals from the world’s finest locality for silver. Can’t ask for much better…
