The Dal’Negorsk District in Far Eastern Russia on the Pacific Coast is known for it’s varied and sometimes world-class fluorite specimens. The most desirable and iconic Dal’Negorsk fluorites are the “optical clear” crystals, such as this beautiful example. This piece features large cubic crystals on matrix. They are so clear, you can see right through the fluorites to the matrix underneath. Very neat! A nice fluorite from a classic locality, with dramatic display presence and aesthetics. Some minor chipping on the periphery, but in overall nice condition.
