The pink fluorites of the French/Swiss alps are amongst the most desirable fluorites in the world. Prized for their rare color, quality, and treacherous collecting conditions, these fluorites are a coveted staple of any collection of the species or region. This is a very unique example with excellent (!) saturated color, form, and aesthetics. This specimen is highly unusual, with two distinct generations of fluorite growth – one rather blocky and opaque, and one with stunning quality, octahedral growth, and deep color. It makes for a most interesting and eye-catching specimen. Very nice.
