Besides the mythical Namibian “Alien Eye” fluorites and the alpine pink fluorites, these 1980-1981 pink/green octahedral fluorites from the Huanzala Mine are, perhaps, the most coveted fluorites around. This one-time find produced these gorgeous gemmy pink fluorites with a light green core – creating a wonderful pastel effect. Combined with high luster, octahedrons, and the occasional pyrite association – it makes for a fantastic mineral specimen. This is a great example from this rare and desirable find. Extremely hard to find in decent quality now – a true “holy grail” fluorite.
