Tucson, Arizona, USAThis fine miniature specimen is a lovely example of the classic perfect pseudomorphism of Malachite after bladed monoclinic Azurite crystals for which Tsumeb mine is renowned. On this specimen four terminated crystals splay outwards in a nice smaller display. The largest crystal reaches 2 cm in length, with the others at 1.8, 0.9 and 0.8 cm. On the outside replacement looks total, but on the one edge where the inside of another crystal can be seen it is obvious that a central core of Azurite remains. Ex Weyand collection.
