Fluorite with Siderite

Undoubtedly from Weardale, this wonderful crystallized Fluorite with partial Siderite overgrowth has all the hallmarks of being from the most famous of mines - Boltsburn. The classic sherry-coloured glassy Fluorite crystals are wonderful in their own right, but the draping of beige coloured platy Siderite crystals preferentially along certain cube edges and corners produces a magnificent display, especially when positioned upright with Siderite on top in its geopetal position. Small cabinet in size this is an extremely classy Weardale piece. Ex Jesse Fisher collection.
