Elbaite with Lepidolite

This is a wonderful multicoloured gemmy prismatic Elbaite tourmaline crystal set off perfectly with its surrounding soft pink-grey Lepidolite matrix. At about 3.6 cm in length the Elbaite crystal transitions upwards from orange-pink though teal green to vibrant raspberry pink at its termination, which is a flat pinacoid face. This termination is a little nibbled at the edges, but still looks very fine. It is from the modern finds at Coronel Murta in Jequitinhonha Valley, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
