This is a classic green Elbaite tourmaline from the famous Pederneira mine at São José da Safira, Doce Valley, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Sword-like in form it not only displays the classic green colour from this mine, but the flattened, bladed shape too. At 4.3 cm in length and with a superb response to backlighting this is an extremely presentable tourmaline. It is mounted on a small acryllic block for display.
