Pyrite
Huanzala mine in Huallanca District, Huánuco Department, Peru is widely regarded as being the most productive mine for magnificent crystallized Pyrite crystals. These can take many forms, but the classic pyritohedron is perhaps the most iconic for there. This small cabinet specimen presents a perfect example, featuring a magnificent 3.3 cm wide bright golden pyritohedron attached to an aggregate of other Pyrite crystals. This main crystal is in excellent condition and displays superb parallel crystal growth lines across its faces. A really exceptional Pyrite for display.
