This rich miniature specimen from the famous Freiberg silver mining region in Saxony, Germany features two of the most important silver ores - Stephanite and Proustite. Although small (1 to 2 mm), the crystals are nicely formed, with gunmetal grey hexagonal Stephanite crystals and more elongated dark purple Proustite crystals within Quartz-rich veinstone. Freiberg is also the Type Locality for Stephanite. Ex David Hardman collection.
