Pyrargyrite
Unknown Owner
Pyrargyrite is one of the famous 'Ruby Silver's' and is always popular amongst mineral collectors but specimens rarely come cheap. This small cabinet-sized specimen is not a major display specimen, but is a nicely crystallized Pyrargyrite with lots of well formed small deep purple-red crystals in matrix with Pyrite. It is from Schneeberg which lies on the famous 'Silver Road' at Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany. Ex David Hardman collection.
