Cerussite with Malachite
Unknown Owner
The clarity of this small miniature sized Cerussite crystal from Tsumeb mine is exceptional. Naturally quite smoky in colour, it is totally transparent and exhibits an extremely glassy surface lustre. Not only this but its crystal form is magnificently well defined with sharp undamaged faces and classy parallel growth lines. At its base a small area of the Cerussite is green coloured where Malachite inclusions are present. At about 3 cm tall the crystal is certainly not the largest known from this famous mine, but its quality is undoubtedly at the highest end of what Cerussite as a species is capable of.
