Tucson, Arizona, USAThis is quite a sizable multiple-, or 'snowflake'-twinned Cerussite crystal, or crystal aggregate. Cerussite twins of this size are the preserve of Tsumeb mine in Namibia, but are so desired by Tsumeb collectors and worldwide collectors alike. Normally, specimens of this size are priced in the thousands of dollars, but the reason this one is cheaper is that it two of the three 'branches' or 'arms' are not complete - either not fully terminated or bruised from contact damage. However, it still looks very impressive, has the dense feel of pure lead carbonate, and no new specimens will be coming from this mine which closed in the late 1990s.
