This pyrite specimen has naturally iridescent colors that make it stand out from so many other pyrite specimens from other localities. It is from a large production that has come out by the container load from Indonesia (mostly to China) in 2022-2024; and yet it seems to my eye much better than most of what I have seen. We picked it up in China as the only piece I bought out of a lot of approximately 700-800 pieces, at a guess. It just stood out for quality, size, drama, and richness of colors. The large crystal is 2 cm. While not rare today, these may be, in the future, modern classics of the time. It was worth grabbing one if I thought it was fairly better than others. We have not seen them all of course, but, for what it is, the quality stands for itself and it is so very beautiful in a case.
