This is a single, superb, perfectly-formed crystal of ruby. It has unusually fine geometry and form for a Burmese ruby crystal, as many are stretched out, deformed, elongated, etc, etc. Sharp columnar crystals like this are uncommon. An old piece, purchased by Jack Halpern back in the 1990s. Jack collected by color and beauty, regardless of size. People do not think of him as a thumbnail collector (and he would not have), but he nevertheless had a few hundred TN's in the collection when we bought it.
