Quartz (Japan Law Twin)
A stunningly perfect Japan Law twin from this ultra-high Alpine deposit, in the mountains of the Nepal Himalayas. Most quartz crystallizes with some slight microscopic inclusions, however minimal, which gives it a cloudy look. Truly bright, clean, crisp quartz is not as common as you think, and particularly in environments which seem to yield Japan Law Twinned crystals. Therefore, these Nepalese twins are among the most gloriously bright and sparkling, clean quartz crystals of any types, and are generally also considered the finest overall quality in twinned quartz for this extra clarity. There are several small thin veils or lines within, which the camera exaggerates compared to the human eye; but there is no grunge or grime within — the overall result can only be termed "crisp" in a sense hard to convey with words. This is literally a perfect piece with that ultra high quality we seldom see. It is shocking to hold in the hand. We helped finance several seasons of mining and got lucky on several pockets, unlucky in other seasons. Very few of these of such quality in this size, came out...fewer than people think.
