Tucson, Arizona, USAKnown the world over for its remarkable perfection in Malachite pseudomorphs after bladed, yet stocky Azurite crystals, the Tsumeb mine has produced many wonderful specimens. This one, from John Schneider's collection, is not the largest known by any means, but it is the exceptional development of the radiating sprays of deep green velvety Malachite which define it. On one edge in particular (as seen in the video) the radiating Malachite spray extends right through the former Azurite crystal. The crystal sits upon a small piece of mottled matrix and is complete on all sides except from where it is joined to the matrix.
